May 17-18, 39th Annual Bimbé Cultural Arts Festival
Durham Athletic Park, Saturday 1:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m., Sunday 1:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.
The theme of this year's Bimbe cultural Arts Festival is "It's a Family Reunion." The festival will feature dancing and music including gospel and jazz as well as a marketplace where vendors can join in the celebration of African-American traditions.

The Triangle Corporate Battle of the Bands at the American Tobacco Amphitheater, 324 Blackwell St. , Durham .This concert, featuring garage bands (or more accurately, office park bands) from across the Triangle, is actually a charity event to benefit The Center for Child and Family Health, an organization which does their best to help North Carolina 's children grow up in a healthy, abuse-free environment.
