Parades and Celebrations

Festival for the Eno
This festival is a Raleigh-Durham 4th of July favorite. The festival runs for three days from July 4 - July 6 from 10am until 6pm. The festival features over 100 performers on 5 stages.

Apex Olde Fashioned 4th of July
Kids will love this 4th of July celebration! The festivities start at 9am with free games, climbing wall, giant slide and inflatables. Then, at noon, kids are invited to join Uncle Sam for the 4th of July Parade of Wheels. No registration required to participate in parade, just line up at the corner of Chatham St. and Salem St. by 11:50am. Kids are encourged to show their colors and decorate their bikes and wagons with red, white and blue! Helmets are required for bikers, so plan accordingly.

Watts Hospital-Hillandale Fourth of July
Held annually since 1950, this parade is held at the Watts Hospital's Oval Park

Koka Booth Amphitheater 4th of July Celebration
Enjoy a celebration of patriotic music performed by the NC Symphony. The doors to this free concert open at 3pm and the performance will be followed by fireworks. Enjoy a picnic and bring your own lawn chairs, blankets and coolers of food!

Children's Independence Day Parade at Durham's Central Park
The Scrap Exchange will be providing decorations for bikes and wagons in this 4th of July parade. The festivities start at 10am.

Cary's Olde Time Independence Day
The Town of Cary will be holding a family fishing tournament from 8am-10am at Bond Park. Get there early as registration starts at 7:30am. Afterwards, at 10am, there will be a childrens' parade through the park. Festivities continue throughout the day until 3pm.

4th of July at the NC State Fairgrounds The City of Raleigh and the NC State Fair will be hosting a giant 4th of July celebration at the NC State Fairgrounds. Gates open at 2:30 and ctivities begin at 3:00pm. Fireworks will begin a 9:15pm.
